Installing Arch linux - gettin my hands dirty
I felt like i was done and over with ubuntu. Fedora didnt install quite well. And my friend Prakash spent a whole week downloading OpenSuse just to find that the checksum wasn’t correct.
So i went over to the internet and looked for a distro to install on my machine. Archlinux ‘s size was pretty small so i downloaded it.
Apparently, all it comes with is a shell.(At least that’s what you see at first). That means I’m going to have to download and install a GUI to begin with and all the other packages. That’s gonna be vlc and chrome for now.
Booting from the usb stick was kinda messy but i got around with it. As i previously had Ubuntu installed on the drive, I had to remove it. And i f**ked up my windows boot loader.
Its all set now and i am ready to get my hands dirty.
I hope i will be posting updates about the job..
See ya.
