  3. Random thoughts yesterday

Set out for a subjext for the photography competition.. On the rainy streets of tripureshwor, “covered in rain” playing on the music player.
A while ago i was wardriving to tweet these

Interesting how you can discover songs that have aince long been hidden in your music collection; the sweet bass sequences that were always ignored… Feels like home, being myself, once again! Cheers to this awesome feeling!

Went to the tallest temple in basantapur, turned up the music on full and watched the world go by

Got my favoueitr blues playin and i keep bumpin into people . Ain’t gonna stop me from writing this though

Oh goddies! Watching simpsons again. And discovery, and TLC! God i missed TV. the sourcebof inspiration. ( around the world in 80 trades.

So i was watching superhumans, the episode of the magnetic man. That deuche takes the man to a professor at malasiya’s best engg school to test his magnetism- with a fuckin compass! “i’m seriously, you guys!”

  4. update 1

i guess its around 2 in the morning. i got things solved with the lady and now am finally gettin my head focussed. its been hours since i’ve begun and i barely connected to a network via netcfg. i tried the manual methods but it didn’t seem to work out. I am now connected to a network with no authentication via rtl8187 device (thanks dipendra) and the speed is kinda crappy. Had i been able to connect to the WEP one that í’d cracked, i’d be getting anywhere around a 100 kbps at this time of the night, but i just cant connect to it from this terminal.
Previously, i couldn’t even locate the official installation guide. It just wasn’t there. Fortunately for me, i have a second computer at hand, just for today to do the blogging while my acer is updating pacman at a slow 10 kpbs.

So i guess, no sleep today…

update: 2:47am : still no sign of wep working. tried with the hex key, it connects put ping returns zero output.

  5. Installing Arch linux - gettin my hands dirty

I felt like i was done and over with ubuntu. Fedora didnt install quite well. And my friend Prakash spent a whole week downloading OpenSuse just to find that the checksum wasn’t correct.
So i went over to the internet and looked for a distro to install on my machine. Archlinux ‘s size was pretty small so i downloaded it.

Apparently, all it comes with is a shell.(At least that’s what you see at first). That means I’m going to have to download and install a GUI to begin with and all the other packages. That’s gonna be vlc and chrome for now.

Booting  from the usb stick was kinda messy but i got around with it. As i previously had Ubuntu installed on the drive, I had to remove it. And i f**ked up my windows boot loader.

Its all set now and i am ready to get my hands dirty.

I hope i will be posting updates about the job..

    See ya.
